StrainCore PositionCore Functions & EfficacyApplication ScenariosContraindications / Characteristics
Trichoderma harzianumBroad-spectrum biocontrol fungus against soil-borne diseases, all-round type1. Hyperparasitism against root rot, wilt, damping-off, blight, phytophthora, powdery mildew, gray mold and most soil/leaf fungal diseases. 2. Secrete growth stimulants to strengthen roots and boost seedlings. 3. Decompose residual organic matter in soil, relieve continuous cropping obstacles.Fruits, vegetables, fruit trees, seedlings, Chinese medicinal herbs and all cash crops; the first choice for continuous cropping fields.Avoid mixing with high-concentration fungicides; can be compounded with Penicillium bilaii and Aspergillus.
Trichoderma asperellumPromote root growth & seedling disease prevention1. Strongly stimulate massive growth of fine roots for fast seedling recovery. 2. Inhibit seedling damping-off, blight and phytophthora. 3. Improve seedlings’ resistance to low temperature and root soaking damage. 4. Slightly suppress hatching of nematode eggs.Seedling greenhouses, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, fruit tree saplings, cuttings.Focus on seedling stage; weaker disease prevention on mature trees than Trichoderma harzianum.
Trichoderma longibrachiatumHigh temperature resistant, for dead plants caused by continuous cropping1. High temperature tolerance, survives under high temperature during summer greenhouse soil solarization. 2. Specialized for dead plants, root rot and verticillium wilt from long-term continuous cropping. 3. Degrade soil salt and toxic substances produced by crops.Multi-year continuous cropping greenhouses, high-temperature open fields, old orchards.Much higher activity in high-temperature environment than the other two Trichoderma strains; average effect at low temperature.
Penicillium bilaiiSpecial strain for soil phosphorus solubilization1. Secrete organic acids to decompose fixed inorganic phosphorus in soil and convert it into available phosphorus for crops. 2. Mildly inhibit harmful soil fungi and improve acidified & compacted soil. 3. Improve phosphorus fertilizer utilization rate and reduce chemical fertilizer dosage. All fields with phosphorus deficiency, soil compaction and acidification; fruit trees at fruit expansion stage, rhizome crops. No insecticidal effect, no strong bactericidal ability; mainly activate nutrients, often used together with Trichoderma.
Purpureocillium lilacinumBiocontrol fungus specialized for nematodes1. Mycelium wraps eggs and larvae of root-knot nematodes, pierces and dissolves nematodes to inhibit nematode reproduction. 2. Slightly control root fungal diseases and repair root system damaged by nematodes. 3. Alleviate root swelling and root knots, restore nutrient absorption capacity of roots.Crops vulnerable to root-knot nematodes: tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelons, Chinese yams, citrus, passion fruits.Ineffective against above-ground diseases; cannot be mixed with chemical nematicides.
Beauveria bassianaInsect-parasitic fungus for pest control1. Parasitize Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and underground pests: white grubs, cutworms, fruit borers, aphids, cabbage caterpillars, corn borers. 2. After pests contact the fungus, mycelium invades pest bodies; cadavers continuously spread the fungus for sustained pest control.Field crops, fruit trees, vegetable pest control; underground pests, leaf-eating pests.Use away from light; UV rays will kill spores. Strictly prohibited to mix with fungicides. Only kills pests, no disease prevention or root-promoting effect.
Aspergillus oryzaeDecomposing strain for organic matter maturation1. Rapidly mature organic fertilizers such as sheep manure, chicken manure and crop straw; decompose protein and crude fiber. 2. Degrade macromolecular organic matter in soil and release amino acids and polypeptides. 3. Adjust soil carbon-nitrogen ratio and reduce risk of seedling burning.Straw returning to field, manure composting, improvement of poor sandy soil.No effect on disease prevention, pest killing or phosphorus solubilization; core function is decomposing organic matter.
Aspergillus nigerDecompose fiber, activate medium & trace elements1. Decompose lignin and crude fiber of straw, accelerate straw decomposition. 2. Activate medium and trace elements (Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn) in soil. 3. Regulate soil pH and neutralize saline-alkali land.Saline-alkali land, large amount of straw returning, fruit tree fields with yellowing caused by element deficiency.Often mixed with Aspergillus oryzae for manure composting; no insecticidal function.
